Insurance can be a tricky subject for some. One question we frequently get here at our Athens and Loganville offices is the question, “Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?” The answer is NO. You can call us directly and no referral is necessary.
While here at Grand Oak Healthcare, we are considered an in-network facility for those seeking out chiropractic care, there are, unfortunately, many places that do not take insurance for chiropractic care. Before we talk about the reason, it’s vital to know the difference between the terms in-network and out-of-network.
When it comes to insurance, there are two terms that you must understand: in-network and out-of-network. While most insurances have varying rates for certain procedures, such as chiropractic care, these rates can vary even more depending on whether a care provider is considered in-network or out-of-network.
When your insurance provider talks about in-network they are referring to those medical providers or companies that have a contract to work with the insurance provider to give patients coverage at specific rates.
If you visit a provider or accept a service that is considered out-of-network, then you are dealing with providers who have not agreed to a contract to work with your particular insurance provider. This typically results in patients having to pay more than they would, should they have visited someone in-network.
At Grand Oak Health Healthcare we understand that during these trying times your insurance premiums grow higher and higher each month. Therefore, we want to be able to allow you to fully utilize those benefits and lighten the financial burden you might be facing. We feel it is our duty to our patients to allow them the most access for the least amount of cost. We will always file any out of network benefits for our patients and provide affordable cash rates if insurance is not available. Grand Oak Healthcare works with the Community Care program within the Veterans Administration providing free care to our Veterans.
Grand Oak Health care has over 47 years of experience in documenting our patients injuries and working with the patient's insurance companies and attorneys, you can be rest assured that these pros will take care of you.
Here at Grand Oak Healthcare, we not only accept most insurances including Auto Med Pay, Veterans Administration, and Medicare; we go the extra mile to help file your medical claim through your insurance provider.
